Last December, we announced the winner of our fifth annual ONE Africa Award: Positive-Generation. The Cameroonian organization is on a serious mission to ensure basic human rights for people living with HIV/AIDS and communities facing AIDS.
Besides receiving the $100,000 prize from ONE, we’d love to show them that their fellow ONE members are supporters of their mission. So this week, we’re asking you to send Executive Director Fogué Foguito a note with your well wishes. They’re doing amazing work (read Fogue’s beautiful essay on AIDS advocacy here), which you can witness in this short film that our friend Amr Singh helped us make:
What should you say in your note? Anything. Tell them that you’ll be following them on their Facebook page. Tell them that you love their cause. Send them your email address and tell them to put you on their mailing list. Tell them that ONE members are standing behind them and wishing them the best in all their endeavors.
The goal of the exercise? We want to connect ONE members around the world with the organizations we’re working with on the continent.
